The whole Open House/Cake Tasing idea came about when Phil and I met Michele and Daron Howard of SweetStory Bakery a couple of years ago. Michele's baked goods are incredible, and we love working with a baker who is so close by. Michele has provided cakes for a number of our happy clients since then, and we've never been dissapointed. In fact, we're pretty dang excited when we hear she and Daron are going to be involved in one of our weddings. Michele's goal is to make your day special. She's conscientious about never overbooking, and you can be assured that she gives her best when she creates your cake. And since she's right here in Sherwood, you don't have to worry about how far your cake is traveling if you're getting married at Heart of Rock Farm. I undestand Michele is bringing three cakes for you to sample on March 11th: chocolate with Oreo fill; red velvet with cream cheese, and vanilla with strawberry mousse. Her red velvet is -- without question -- one of the BEST wedding cakes I've ever eaten...and I've experienced a LOT of cake in nearly 20 years in the wedding industry. Michele will also have some specialty cookies on display, which are great for showers or even for your dessert bar. Check out the photos below and you'll see what I mean.
