Host your event at Heart of Rock Farm

If you're looking for an affordable rustic barn or farm atmosphere for your wedding/reception or other event, come visit us! 

Our farm has seen some amazing weddings and parties.  The Onion Barn (our reception hall) is fabulous:  rustic and yet updated, simple or elegant, depending on your vision, with an amazingly comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.  Outdoors you'll find a 12'x12' Wedding Pavilion with rustic bench seating and a territorial view of Mt. Hood, perfectly framed between the pillars of the pavillion.  The outdoor area also features a fire pit ringed by rustic bench seating, with Edison-style bare bulb lighting overhead for the evenings.  For weddings we offer separate spacious rooms for the couple to get dressed (the guys are in the "Bunk House" in the older barn and the ladies are in the rock & roll-themed dressing room with a private bathroom).   We provide tables and chairs for up to 150 people in summer and 100-120 in winter (depending on the type of event).  Linens and a nice selection of rustic props -- which you can incorporate into your decor -- are included in the Major Events package.  For cooler-weather events (or as backup if it rains) we can set up a cute little chapel in the Onion Barn.  Beginning in 2024, our wedding packages include an onsite Day-of Coordinator to keep you on track during the event and to serve as a liaison for your vendors.

In addition, the other services we offer (House Catering, Officiant, DJ, & Photo Booth) are discounted if we provide those services here; so be sure to ask about package prices.

Event Hosting 
Major Events

Mini Wedding & Reception

Ceremony, short cake & hors d'oeuvres reception with a close group of friends & family.
6-8 hours onsite, 30-50 guests, services-oriented.

Optional Services 

When you host your event at Heart of Rock Farm, you can add additional at a considerable discount over what we charge if we were working outside of our own facility.  Additionally, our amazing house caterer, Erin at Flour Power Catering, offers special rates for events held here.

DJ Services

Bring in your own DJ or band, or choose to work with our in-house DJ instead.  Check the DJ Services pages to see what's included.  (Lisa has 20+ years experience as a wedding DJ and decades of experience planning and running events.) 

Photo Booth
Photo Booth

Open-style photo booth with props.  75-100 prints, including a customized print background personalized with your message.  Fun for everyone and perfect for creating keepsakes for yourself and your guests.  You'll get a digital copy of all images to take home.  (This is an excellent way to keep guests entertained during the cocktail hour while you are away taking wedding photos.)
Photo Booth is only available in conjunction with Mobile DJ services or events hosted at Heart of Rock Farm.

Day-of Coordination
Day-of Coordination
In-House Day-Of Coordination Services: Our in-house coordinator will be present to keep your event on track, solve problems, and provide liaison support to your vendors.  This basic service is incuded in the Major Events package, beginning in 2024.  
In addition:  We offer several staffing options for the set-up, clean-up and event support duties that typically fall to friends, family and the couple, making the event less DIY-oriented and more relaxing for you.  Choose only the support you need to reduce reliance on friends/family/volunteers:  
* Set-up and Decorating:  Based on the plan you created with our coordinator during the planning session, our Day-of Team will help you develop a packing list, receive and inventory your decor and supplies at rehearsal, then fully set up the venue so that everything is available when you arrive.   (Setup and decorating is completed during your contracted time and does not result in additional event hours.)  
* Event Staffing:  Optional support staff are available to take on some of the routine duties that would otherwise fall to your support team, such as greeting and directing guests, bussing tables, emptying trash cans throughout the night, refilling hot and cold beverage dispensers and refreshing the ice, and handling spills, etc as they happen.  Support staff work under the direction of the Day-of Coordinator.

* Pack up/Clean up Services:  Our event staff (under the direction of the Day-of Coordinator) will pack up your decor and other supplies at the end of the night for pickup the next day, and will complete the tasks on your cleanup checklist for you.

Officiant Services

Phil is an ordained wedding officiant who has a way with words.  He is available for marriage and commitment ceremonies and Celebrations of Life.  

House Catering

Flour Power Catering

Hire your own professional caterer or use our in-house services.  Catering is provided by Erin at Flour Power Catering.  (Ask for our special menu & pricing.)  Erin also offers cutting cakes, charcuterie and amazing desserts.

Table Settings
Table Settings

Vintage-style mismatched china (or elegant clear glass) table settings are available for groups of up to 150.   Dinner plates can be staged at the buffet table for rustic efficiency, or you can set your tables* for an elegant touch.   (Events at Heart of Rock Farm only)

A:  Dinner plate & silverware, and dessert plate & fork (if needed):  $12 per table of 8
B:  Salad or appetizer plates & forks:  $3 per table of 8 
C:  Wine glasses (etched with romantic phrases) or Mason mugs:  $4 per table of 8
D:  Gold-tone chargers:  $4 per table of 8

 (minimum charge $75)

* Except in rare circumstances we have a minimum of ten tables out per event; so you would need a minimum of ten tables-worth of dishes  (10 x 8 sets) in order to set tables.  (Does not apply if dishes are staged at the buffet table.)

Add a beautiful dooway arch to the entrance of your aisle at the wedding pavilion.  The "Welcome" sign shown on the left door is included.  You can optionally add your own personalized sign or wall hanging to the door on the right.  (Events at Heart of Rock Farm only)


Personalized Gifts & Decor

Phil, who also runs A Rustic Impression, has an incredible range of woodworking and other creative skills.  You'll want to check out the wonderful decor items you can order for gifts (for others and for yourselves), as well as personalized decor items to make your tablescapes uniquely yours.

* Full-size tablecloth and a runner or topper $16 per table*  


* Shorter-length cloth (no runner or topper) $6 per table*  

* Napkins (set of 8 per table) $4 per table  

* Except in rare circumstances, we have a minimum of ten tables out per event so you would need a minimum of ten tablecloths.  Napkin count can be lower (to match a smaller guest count) if you are not planning to place napkins at the guest tables.
